Every Agent Skill in this library has a published verdict, score and safety grade. An Agent Skill is a folder with a SKILL.md file of instructions that an AI agent loads when a task needs it (agentskills.io). Open any skill for its full review, evidence and known failures.

The table is sorted by score, highest first. Every skill was reviewed on 2026-09-30 at the commit shown.

The Claude API skill changed after our review. Its folder in anthropics/skills changed on 2026-10-09, after the reviewed commit 8a1541c. Its verdict stands until we review it again.

How to read the table

• Verdict and score: Recommended means 75 to 84, Recommended with caveats 70 to 74, Conditional 55 to 69 and Not Recommended below 55.
• Safety grade: A means no executable code, B means scripts with nothing alarming, C means the skill needs credentials or broad permissions, and F means unsafe.
• Confidence: how much evidence stands behind the verdict, not how good the skill is.
• Verified in: agents where we can cite a dated run of the skill. Claimed in: agents the publisher says it supports.
• Work: the skill's main job.

Where are Anthropic's official Claude skills and docs?

Anthropic's official Claude skills live in the anthropics/skills repository on GitHub. We have reviewed eight of them, all at commit 8a1541c, with scores from 57 to 76.

Anthropic also publishes the Anthropic Design Plugin, scored 66, in a second repository, anthropics/knowledge-work-plugins.

Which repositories do these skills come from?

The anthropics/skills repository supplies the most reviewed skills, with eight. Stars measure popularity, not quality.

The most-starred of those, nextlevelbuilder/ui-ux-pro-max-skill, had 131,959 stars, and its skill scores 68, Conditional. Neon's neondatabase/agent-skills had 97 stars, and its skill scores 76, Recommended. Star counts were taken at review.

Awesome lists such as Composio's, VoltAgent's and travisvn's collect skills without reviewing them. One entry from Composio's list is reviewed here: Composio's Content Research Writer, scored 58.

Where can you download Claude skills from?

Download a skill from the repository linked on its review page, then copy the skill folder into your agent's skills directory. In the Claude app, upload the folder as a ZIP file instead.

1. Open the verdict and check its label, safety grade and known failures.
2. Get the folder at the reviewed commit from the linked repository.
3. Place the folder where your agent loads skills.

Claude Code loads personal skills from ~/.claude/skills/ and project skills from .claude/skills/ (Claude Code docs). Codex loads user skills from $HOME/.agents/skills and repository skills from .agents/skills (Codex docs). The Claude app takes a ZIP upload through Customize > Skills (Claude Help Center).

Are these skills free?

Yes. Every skill here is free to download from a public repository. Licences differ: 20 use MIT, 5 use other licences, and 14 show no repository licence. Free is not the same as safe.

PDF, PPTX and XLSX each declare a proprietary licence, with terms in LICENSE.txt. Check the licence before you reuse their files.

Plan access for uploads differs between Anthropic's own pages. The Help Center article lists the Free plan. The platform overview lists Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise.

Public code still carries risk. Ten of these skills carry safety grade C. Read what to check in an open-source skill before you install one.

Which skills are packs or bundles?

Nine of these skills are packs that ship several skills at once, such as Designer Skills Collection, Impeccable and Jakub Krehel's Interface Skills.

One pack member has its own review too. Interface Review is part of Jakub Krehel's Interface Skills, and both verdicts are published. Animate and Emil Design Engineering both come from the emilkowalski/skills repository.

Which skills work in my agent?

Most of these skills are verified in Claude Code. Verified means we can cite a dated run of the skill in that agent. Claimed means only the publisher says it works there.

Eight skills have no verified agent yet, such as UI Skills, Internal Comms and Landing Page Design.

Two ranked lists group skills by job: ranked design skills and ranked writing skills.

How is this library different from a skills directory?

A skills directory lists every skill it finds, usually ranked by installs. This library lists only skills we have reviewed, each with a verdict, a safety grade and dated evidence. To choose quickly, start from the best Agent Skills, ranked.

Common questions

What is a skills repository?

A skills repository is a version-controlled store, usually on GitHub, of skill folders with SKILL.md files. Registries index repositories without vouching for them.

Is there a Claude skill for finance?

We have not reviewed a finance skill yet. The closest is the XLSX spreadsheet skill, scored 70. It builds Excel workbooks and error-checks every formula.

Why is a skill I use not listed?

The library lists only skills we have reviewed. Use our form to request a review or correction.
